Families First

Since 1890, Families First has been strengthening children and families across Georgia. Through generations of change, our organization has evolved to meet the needs of the communities we serve while remaining rooted in a legacy of compassion, innovation, and resilience. Built through the merger of several influential nonprofit agencies and guided by dedicated leaders, staff, volunteers, and supporters, Families First has spent more than 135 years helping families overcome challenges and build brighter futures. Today, our mission is simple but powerful: to strengthen family resiliency.

Families First strengthens family resiliency through a holistic, wraparound approach that helps children and families overcome complex challenges and thrive. We connect families to a continuum of support, including mental health services, family navigation, parenting education, teen pregnancy, and parenting support. Through both our internal programs and strong community partnerships, we help families access the resources, relationships, and opportunities they need to achieve stability, well-being, and long-term success.
