Opportunities From: United Way of Greater Atlanta

The MUST Mobile Pantry bus visits various locations in Cobb and Cherokee Counties to set up a Mobile Food Pantry. Volunteers meet the bust at locations and help set up, assist clients with food needs, and tear down the mobile pantry.

Volunteers must be age 12+ (minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian).

Volunteers should be comfortable lifting 25lbs.

Food Insecurity is a huge need for our community. Our food pantries have seen 150% increase in family needs since the beginning of Covid-19. We accept shelf-stable foods at our Donation Center - 1280 Field Parkway Marietta 30066. Printable Food Drive Flyer

Most needed items include:

Canned fruits and vegetables Canned protein (tuna, salmon, chicken Hearty, chunky soups and condensed soups Dry pasta, mac-n-cheese, Ramen noodles peanut butter Beef stew or canned pasta Rice and oatmeal

We have small groups of volunteers who purchase and prepare meals for our Emergency Shelter residents and community everyday of the year. Food can be catered from certified kitchen or prepared onsite - no home-cooked food will be served.

Each year we give thousands Individual and Family hygiene kits through our Outreach and Client Service programs. These kits are easy to assemble as a family, as a group or on your own.

Supplies needed:

2-3 travel size shampoo/conditioner 2-3 travel size soaps or body wash small Toothpaste Toothbrush Travel size deodorant comb or brush

All items packed in quart-size ziptop bag. 

**For family hygiene kits - use full size items instead of travel and include at least 4 toothbrushes.

We give blankets to children during our Christmas Toy Shop and through Outreach Services throughout the winter season. These easy No Sew Blankets are a great way to keep warm in the chilly winter months. 

Supplies needed - 

1.5 yards Fleece fabric Sharp scissors

Instructions - Cut a 4-inch square from each corner of fabric. Cut 1 inch wide strips along each side of blanket. Each strip should be about 3-4 inches long. Tie a knot in each strip to make a fun fringed edge.
