You will share your life experiences to coach a small group of students through their day to help bring the JA Summer Camp experience to life. No matter your profession, your life experiences qualify you to be a successful volunteer! Please read our volunteer waiver in advance. You will receive an online version to sign during the sign-up process.
JA Summer Camp
A variation on our standard simulations, the JA Summer Camp Model will integrate our curriculum into the simulations and activities over the course of a multi-day experience. Utilizing many of the key concepts and experiences from our JA BizTown and JA Finance Park simulations, the summer camp model will expose students to our key curriculum while also maintaining the fun and authenticity of our core programs. We are looking to you, our JA Volunteers, to help provide the relevancy and connections to the real world that is so needed to help bring our simulations to life!
What day of the camp should I volunteer?
Monday (11am-3pm) - Volunteers participate in discussion and activities with students around exploration of interests and skills that can be highlighted on a resume or in a job interview process.

Thursday (8am-3pm) - JA Finance Park - Volunteers serve as a sounding board for students as they deep dive into personal budgeting for the day.
Friday - Financial Fun day!

COVID-19 Safety Protocols & Expectations
Volunteers are vital to our mission and not only serve as coaches, but also as role models and a source of inspiration for our students. With that in mind, JA of Georgia is welcoming in-person volunteers at our JA Discovery Centers. Please see JA of Georgia's current COVID-19 protocols HERE.
We mirror all Gwinnett County Public School policies. Currently masks are optional but strongly encouraged.
