Description

Come help out in a food-providing community garden with Youth United! If you're not familiar with Food Well Alliance, it seeks to support community gardens and urban farms around the city with the idea that these go a long way towards improving the quality of and food access in communities. FWA supports many independent gardens in Atlanta. Because of this process, there won't be a location pinned down until February 15.

Regardless of where we serve, our most common garden tasks include weeding, mulching, turning compost, garden beautification and harvesting/planting when seasonally appropriate. We provide all tools, gloves and instruction for these tasks. Join Youth United in supporting the amazing work of Food Well Alliance - while having fun outside!

YU projects are student-only zones, with United Way staff supervision. The age limit for this project is 14-18. Parents with questions or concerns about this policy, please don't hesitiate to contact us!
