With more than 350,000 children identified as food insecure, United Way of Greater Atlanta has continuously committed to combating food insecurity; understanding that full bellies lead to greater potential of those we serve. COVID-19 amplified the reality that our most underserved communities would suffer disproportionate effects of the virus-food at the top of the list. Access to food was grossly disrupted for hundreds of thousands of individuals and families, students, seniors, and homeless. As partners for more than 100+ years, UWGA is proud to join Coca-Cola in hosting Coca-Cola Week of Service; serving diverse communities and meeting the needs of those who need us most.
Action Ministries works to mobilizes communities to address the challenges of poverty by focusing on hunger relief, housing and education for children and families across Georgia.
Volunteers are needed to prepare and serve to-go meals for Action Ministries Women’s Community Kitchen.
