Donate Snack Packs for Students in Need

Calendar Nov 15, 2021 through Dec 3, 2021
Expired

Description

Of the 1.3 million children living in our 13-county region, more than 350,000 children do not have immediate access to healthy and nutritional meals. The majority of those children primarily reside in our black and brown communities. We are tasking volunteers to take part in a Snack Pack project to benefit students in need in the Butts County School District.

Volunteers must gather the items below, consolidate them in large, gallon-sized Ziploc bags.

Drop-off your Snack Packs to United Way's Volunteer Center (63 Auburn Ave. Atlanta, GA 30303). Please place all donations in the trunk of the vehicle when delivering. Our team will be on-site to safely receive the donations.

Donation window is open 9:00 AM - noon on November 15-19, 22-23, 29-30, and December 1-3.

For every Snack Pack donated, UWGA will contribute an age appropriate reading book.

Each Snack Pack includes:

  • Juice
  • Fruit cup
  • Goldfish crackers
  • Fruit snacks
  • Granola bar
  • Spoon and napkin set
  • Note of encouragement

*Please ensure one of each item is included for consistency among donated kits. Product brands may vary.

At minimum, each volunteer will commit to creating at least five Snack Packs to donate. When registering, you may indicate in the notes section how many Snack Packs you aim to complete.
