With more than 350,000 students identified as “food insecure”, the Snack Pack project is a great way to provide meals to our partners who have expressed an urgent need. Each pack provides juice, crackers, fruit, a granola bar, fruit snack, and eating utensil with napkin.
Volunteers will decorate bags with encouraging notes for children and fill packs with each item assembly-line style. 200 snack packs will be made for one of United Way of Greater Atlanta's AARP Experience Corps Elementary Schools. The AARP Experience Corps volunteers with students who are performing critically and need additional support in reading comprehension.
