HouseProud’s mission is provide no-cost home repairs to low-income senior, veteran, and disabled homeowners while partnering with community organizations to help them remain connected in their neighborhoods. Our vision is to help downtown Atlanta’s at-risk senior, veteran and disabled homeowners stay warm, safe and dry in their homes so they can age in place.

HouseProud Atlanta provides veteran, senior and disabled homeowners with high-quality no-cost repairs through an emphasis on community partnerships. HouseProud's goal is to allow seniors remain warm, safe, and dry in their existing homes and remain an important thread in the fabric of their communities.

HouseProud works closely with volunteers and contractors to ensure that the homeowner receives the highest quality repairs. The typical homeowner served is a low-income senior widow who has lived in her house for 20 years or more. Rising property taxes in gentrifying neighborhoods and increased healthcare costs make it difficult for many seniors to pay for even the most basic home maintenance, let alone major repairs. The service that HouseProud provides allows these homeowners to remain content and comfortable in their homes.
