Join us on Saturday, November 17th as we partner with the SAFE (Student and Family Engagement) Center at Banneker High School for the United Way Day of Service. Volunteers will serve alongside high school students to beautify the campus and provide much-needed resources to the center's distribution closets.
If you haven't heard about the SAFE Center, here are a few of the services they provide:
- Discipline support through restorative practices
- Mental and Emotional Health Counseling
- Support Services for students and families in need
- Financial literacy and Adult literacy services
- Mentorship services for academically deficient students
Volunteer roles will include sorting & organizing donation closets, mulching/spreading pine straw, possible painting and packing snack packs for the after-school program.
