United Way of Greater Atlanta's non-profit partners are dealing with an overwhelming increase of children in need of meals. Volunteers will create Snackpacks to donate to agencies serving youth facing food insecurity in Greater Atlanta. These Snackpacks combat summer hunger in children, as they are distributed to families who typically utilize the free and reduced lunch program throughout the school year. Snackpacks will be donated to kids of Atlanta Children's Shelter and Prevent Child Abuse Rockdale.
SnackPack should include the following, and be packaged in a gallon ziplock bag:
- Juice box
- Fruit cup
- Bag of goldfish crackers
- Fruit snacks
- Granola bar
- Spoon and napkin set
United Way of Greater Atlanta will provide books to donate to each agency (volunteers are encouraged to donate new books if desired), as well as a special Reading Log to encourage kids to keep up their literacy skills over the summer!
At minimum, each volunteer will commit to creating at least four Snack Packs to donate.
All donations must be delivered to 63 Auburn Ave NE Atlanta, GA 30303 between Wednesday June 16th - Friday June 18th, during the hours of 9:30am -12pm. This will be a no-contact drop-off with UWGA staff receiving items from the backseat/trunks of volunteers' cars. If you would like to purchase directly from our Amazon Wishlist to have items shipped to UWGA, please register here.

To ensure the safety of volunteers, staff and clients, all participants will be required to wear a mask throughout the drop-off. Please do not attend if you have been sick, or exposed to anyone who has been sick, within 2 weeks of the project date.
