Volunteers will create a set of handmade flashcards for each of the 140 children at the center, based on the unique needs of the classroom age group (ages 3-5), which typically includes colors, vocabulary, and basic math. This project serves the need of the center to provide educational and fun activities for kids over the summer!
Volunteers will receive via mail a set of templates, necessary supplies to create the flashcard sets, and a pre-addressed return mailer to send the completed flashcards to Sylvan Hills.
United Way of Greater Atlanta will facilitate a Zoom session to provide an overview of the impact and instructions on the project, while we build kits virtually together.
Volunteers MUST sign up by May 27, 2021. This project is appropriate for all ages. Volunteers must be located in the state of Georgia due to shipping limitations.
