United Way of Greater Atlanta's partners serving seniors are in need of care packages for their residents and clients. Volunteers will create Senior Care Packages to provide a cheerful gift of entertainment and joy as seniors are still facing isolation and loneliness during the pandemic. Senior Care Packages will be donated to seniors supported by Butts County Senior Services.
Senior Care Packages should include the following, and be packaged in a reusable grocery bag:
- Playing Cards
- Puzzle book
- Lotion
- Journal
- Fuzzy Socks
- Letter of encouragement
United Way of Greater Atlanta will provide supplemental care package items for each senior!
At minimum, each volunteer will commit to creating at least four Senior Kits to donate.
All donations must be delivered to 63 Auburn Ave NE Atlanta, GA 30303 on either Friday, June 25th or Saturday, June 26th, during the hours of 9:00am -12pm. This will be a no-contact drop-off with UWGA staff receiving items from the backseat/trunks of volunteers' cars.
Select your donation drop-off date below!
To ensure the safety of volunteers, staff and clients, all participants will be required to wear a mask throughout the drop-off. Please do not attend if you have been sick, or exposed to anyone who has been sick, within 2 weeks of the project date.
