School Supply Drive for Students
United Way of Greater Atlanta's schools, school systems, and non-profit partners are in need of backpacks with school supplies to provide to students as they prepare to start the Fall semester. Volunteers are needed to create school supply kits full of essential items to support back to school efforts. United Way will provide the backpacks and some additional supplies, and they will be donated to Clayton, Cobb, Dekalb, and North & South Fulton county schools.
Volunteers should use the list below, designed to meet the current most urgent needs. You can reference our Amazon Wishlist for examples on preferred items.
Each kit should be filled with:

Glue stick

Mechanical Pencils or #2 pencils

Colored pencils

Pink eraser

Pens

Lined loose-leaf paper

Index cards

We encourage volunteers to create as many kits as they can - bulk donations are welcome too! Please include a note of encouragement or bookmark for the students.
All donations must be delivered to 63 Auburn Ave NE Atlanta, GA 30303 between Monday July 26th - Friday July 30th, during the hours of 9:30am -12pm.
To ensure the safety of volunteers, staff and clients, all participants will be required to wear a mask throughout the drop-off. Please do not attend if you have been sick, or exposed to anyone who has been sick, within 2 weeks of the project date.
