Boyd Elementary School is committed to empowering students with the confidence, social skills, and intellectual capacity required to successfully thrive and compete in middle school, high school, college, and the global marketplace.
Volunteers will partner to read alongside select 1st and 2nd grade students from Boyd Elementary School that are performing critically in reading and are in need of additional support. Volunteers will also supervise each student’s progress during Accelerated Reader tests that monitor the student’s reading comprehension.
To ensure the safety of volunteers, staff and clients, all participants will be required to wear a mask throughout the project, as well as undergo any entrance requirements of our partner (for example, temperature check). Please do not attend if you have been sick, or exposed to anyone who has been sick, within 2 weeks of the project date.
