Description

With more than 350,000 students identifies as “food insecure”, the Snack Pack project is a great way to provide meals to our students. Volunteer safely from home by creating a Snack Pack, to help United Way & our local nonprofits address the overwhelming increase of kids in need of meals.

Each Snack Pack should include the following:

  • Juice box
  • Fruit cup
  • Bag of goldfish crackers
  • Fruit snacks
  • Granola bar
  • Spoon and napkin set
  • Note of Encouragement

Other, not required, but in-demand donations (WalMart and other large stores have great deals for these!)

  • Unbranded navy polo shirts (kids sizes)
  • Unbranded khaki shorts (kids sizes, boys & girls)

Please ensure each ziplock bag has one of each item. Take your time creating thoughtful notes of encouragement - write your favorite quote or affirmation, or even a fun & colorful drawing! These notes bring big smiles to the faces of children.

At minimum, each volunteer will commit to creating at least four Snack Packs to donate.

All donations must be delivered to United Way of Greater Atlanta (63 Auburn Ave, Atlanta, GA, 30303) on Friday, October 15th, between the hours of 9:30am -12pm. Drop-off is a contactless drive through - just look out for the orange United Way volunteer banners and signs, and drive up to be assisted.

Snack Packs will be donated to Fair Oaks Elementary School, a dual-language school in Cobb helping kiddos and parents reach their full potential.
