Trees Atlanta is committed to keeping Atlanta beautiful, and protecting our city’s forests and green spaces. Volunteers can join United Way of Greater Atlanta in supporting Trees Atlanta, working to provide tree care in the Chosewood neighborhood. Planting tasks include digging holes with shovels/mattocks, untangling roots with your hands, mulching, watering, and cleaning up your area.

DATE: Saturday, November 27, 2021
TIME: 9AM – 12PM
LOCATION: Please meet on the corner of Grant Street and Nolan Street. The nearest address is 1300 Grant St SE, Atlanta, GA 30315. On-street parking is available on Grant Street and Nolan Street.

Be sure to: Wear closed toed shoes & clothes that can get dirty! Dress for the weather – don’t forget sunscreen, a hat or a rain jacket. United Way will provide water.

Volunteers must be 12 years of age or older, and must be accompanied by a guardian if under the age of 18. To ensure the safety of volunteers, staff and clients, all participants will be required to wear a mask throughout the project, as well as undergo any entrance requirements of our partner (for example, temperature check). Please do not attend if you have been sick, or exposed to anyone who has been sick, within 2 weeks of the project date.
