The Red Shield Shelter is dedicated to restoring and enhancing the dignity, productivity, and hope of the homeless of Metro Atlanta. The 320-bed shelter provides care and counsel to the homeless of Atlanta 365 days a year.
Serving with our kitchen is a rewarding experience where you will assist our staff to prepare and serve a meal to individuals who are experiencing homelessness. No culinary experience needed! We are happy to guide you throughout the process. We will provide you with a hair net, gloves, plastic apron, and anything else you might need.

Parking: We have a parking lot that you are welcome to use. If it is full, you can also park on the street at no charge.
To ensure the safety of volunteers, staff and clients, all participants will be required to wear a mask throughout the project, as well as undergo any entrance requirements of our partner (for example, temperature check). Please do not attend if you have been sick, or exposed to anyone who has been sick, within 2 weeks of the project date.
