You will coach a small group of students through the program, while sharing your life experiences that will help make the day authentic for the students. In JA Finance Park, you’ll help students make the connection between their education and career, career and income, and ultimately their income and lifestyle. You will help them discover the value of themselves, their education, and their future beyond the classroom walls. No matter your profession, your life experiences qualify you to be a successful volunteer! Please read our volunteer waiver in advance. You will receive an online version to sign during the registration process.

Every child has a dream, a vision for what their future can be. Our mission is to provide students with opportunities to make those dreams a reality. At JA Finance Park students have the rare opportunity to experience their personal financial futures first-hand. Students will have the opportunity to balance a budget and decide between their needs and wants, all within their unique life profile for the day: a career, income, education level and family scenario.

COVID-19 Safety Protocols & Expectations
Volunteers are vital to our mission and not only serve as coaches, but also as role models and a source of inspiration for our students. Below are the JA protocols and recommendations:
- Before committing to in-person volunteering, we suggest referring to the CDC COVID-19 recommendations.
- Junior Achievement currently mirror's the school district’s COVID-19 policies and will keep volunteers updated if there are any significant changes. GCPS does not currently have a mask mandate in please, but they are strongly encouraged. For more information: https://www.gcpsk12.org/Page/25950
- To prevent the spread of COVID-19 and to reduce the potential risk of exposure to all parties, we are asking volunteers to not participate in JA’s in-person activities if showing any symptoms of COVID-19 (see CDC list), or if there is a known recent exposure to any individual diagnosed with COVID-19 or if any individual is currently waiting for test results confirming the possibility of a COVID-19 diagnosis.
