To answer the call to volunteer locally, the UWGA Volunteerism team is hosting a Shoebox Party to support agency partners all over metro Atlanta! Join us on April 30th from 10am-12pm @ Grace Midtown Church.
Help us give back to our communities, supporting homeless and low-income children and families.
Volunteers will:
- Decorate and assemble toiletry-filled shoeboxes
- Quality check donations
- Sort shoe boxes
- Prepare and pack boxes for agency distribution
Feel free to donate:
- hygiene items (must fit in a shoebox)
- empty shoeboxes
- decorating items such as wrapping paper, stickers, and craft supplies
All ages are welcome-this is a family friendly event with a DJ, food, and access to learn more about our community engagement groups.
Groups are encouraged to sign-up! For groups larger than 10, please contact Team Volunteerism at shoebox-project@unitedwayatlanta.org.
Parking is FREE
To ensure the safety of volunteers, a COVID waiver will be required upon registration. Event will be held in an open indoor/outdoor space, tables distanced, and will be mask optional. Please do not attend if you have been sick, or exposed to anyone who has been sick within 2 weeks of the project date.
