United Way is proud to host Season of Giving, a time for volunteers to mobilize throughout our city to provide resources and support to the communities that need it most. We are calling for volunteers to serve in a variety of in-person, remote, and virtual projects. The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church. Its mission is to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.
Volunteers will assist at the Salvation's Army Angel Tree Warehouse to unload and sort donations from trucks, and verify that all "angel" bags have been received. Volunteers will be moving and walking on concrete most of the time, so dress comfortably.
