Volunteer Role
Volunteers serve as "coaches" for a group of 5-8 middle school students navigating their way through the 1-day simulated economy, JA Finance Park. During the interactive simulation, students get to be an adult for the day! As a volunteer, help students make household budget decisions within a simulated community. You will answer questions about what it is like to have adult responsibilities and help students make adult decisions.
No prep work needed. Volunteers receive training at the beginning of the volunteer day.

What Does the Volunteer Day Look Like?
Typical Volunteer Schedule:
8:15 AM: Volunteer Check-in Begins (coffee provided)
8:30 AM: Volunteer Welcome & Training
10:00 AM: Student Arrival
11:30 AM: Lunch Break (Chicken sandwich, sides, and water provided by Discovery High School)
2:30 PM: Student Departure
2:45 PM: Volunteer Departure
