Join Senior Medicare Patrol to help educate seniors in your community about scams and how they can protect themselves.
SMP volunteers receive training on the basics of Medicare fraud and other healthcare-related scams to conduct short presentations to senior groups in their own community. We provide all materials needed for the presentations, including scripts to use as a guide. Volunteers are also provided materials to help with community events such as health fairs/resource fairs to spread awareness of the SMP program.
Volunteering for SMP is flexible and is done on an as-needed basis. Because our presentations and events occur during business hours Monday through Friday, it’s the perfect opportunity for retirees to give back! Couples could also team up and volunteer together!
The Georgia SMP is a federal grant program through the Administration for Community Living (ACL). In Georgia, SMP is sponsored by AdviseWell, Inc. with corporate offices in New Orleans, LA. For more information, please contact Sunny Lawless at 877-272-8720 or visit www.stopmedicarefraud.org.
