Instructions: You will first be prompted to sign into your Galaxy account (if not already) or create a Galaxy account. Afterward, you will automatically be directed to the registration form. When creating your account, please ensure you consent to receive communications from United Way. This guarantees you receive all updates concerning the VITA program.
Volunteer Positions:
| Outreach | Hand out flyers and deliver postcards |
| Greeter | Welcome clients at tax preparation site, manage sign-in process, help regulate line (if there is one) |
| Intake Specialist | Ensure taxpayer has all required documents, review intake sheet, prepare file for tax preparation |
| Tax Preparer | Prepare returns, applying all eligible and advantageous tax credits |
| Quality Reviewer | Review tax returns, ensuring they are error-free |
